    Características clínicas y factores de riesgo del embarazo ectópico en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso de la ciudad de Cuenca, durante el período 2008 - 2012

    Objectives: This study aims to determine the prevalence of clinical features and risk factors of ectopic pregnancy in the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca. Materials and methods: This is a retrospective study of prevalence study group which are all women diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital of Cuenca Canton, period 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2012 it reaches a number of 160 cases; was used as data collection tool form our authorship in which we select specific variables that are associated with the pathology of study. Results: 160 patients were studied aged between 16-43 years, where 25% were between 24 and 27 years, 98 % of mixed race, 60 % lived in urban areas, 46.25% of the housework engaged, 50 % were between 4.1 to 7 week of gestation, 90.63 % had pelvic pain, 90% tubal location, 89.38 % were resolved surgically. Risk factors were no more significance in the presence of ectopic pregnancy where intercourse before age 18 had a 0.4 times higher probability to the population in general outperforming the rest.
