Enseñanza de la historia a segundo y tercero de bachillerato general unificado (BGU) y básica superior (BS) mediante el uso de la fotografía antigua
(2018) Morocho Cevallos, Boris Leonardo; Borrero Vega, Ana Luz
This study shows the importance of old photography as a tool for the teaching of the urban history of Cuenca from 1900 to 1950, in the pedagogical practice inside and outside the classroom in the levels of EGB Superior and Bachillerato. To achieve this purpose, the study contextualizes the historical places of the city, starting from brief chronological and geographical antecedents. The practical part of this study focuses on the creation of the School Project called "My city in photos, historical landscapes of the world" in Unidad Educativa Particular Bilingüe Interamericana for 8th, 9th and 10th graders, and the creation of a historical photography club in first and third years of Bachillerato. There is also a bibliographic revision, implementation of ICTs and social networks. Finally, five historical ways were created for the pedagogical route of students of the School Project and the Photography Club. Finally, a theoretical and practical process shows the systematization of the following experiences: 1) How to teach history through old photographs to students of EGB Superior and Bachillerato, in this case: the history of Cuenca. 2) How to create five pedagogical routes and the systematization of experiences with students. 3) How to create historical knowledge of Cuenca based on students' perceptions 4) How to generate a meaningful learning in terms of historical photography and collaborative work. The study shows how old photography, in a kind of "domino effect," made students perceive the emblematic places of the city, from one photograph to another.
