Background: quality prenatal control is that whose initial stage is in the first trimester of pregnancy, as long as the supplies and compliance with care standards are available. That is, timely attention from health professionals during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. Objective: To determine compliance with the prenatal control standard in pregnant women attended at the Paute type A health center for the period 2022-2023. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study. The population consisted of 240 adult patients with a pregnancy equal to or greater than 34 weeks attended who met the inclusion criteria. The data was collected from the validated standards of the Ministry of Public Health. The information was analyzed using the SPSS v. 24, the qualitative variables were presented in tables with the frequency and percentage values and the quantitative. Expected results: The results showed that there is 52% compliance in prenatal care and 80% in the quality of care of the operating unit, it is also highlighted that the proteinuria determination indicator is below 80% of compliance. Conclusion: It is concluded that despite having a good indicator of supplies and equipment in the operational unit, the health professionals who work there do not apply the manuals and protocols for correct prenatal care, harming pregnant women who come for optimal control in this operating unit
