    Evaluación de la condición física a través de la Escala Senior Fitness Test en los adultos mayores de la comunidad de Capulispamba. Cuenca, agosto 2022 – enero 2023

    Background: Elderly people suffer physiological changes due to their age. Those changes usually alter their physical condition, resulting in difficulty doing everyday tasks and societal activities. Objective: Evaluate the elders, from the Capulispamba community, physical condition using the Senior Fitness test. Cuenca, August 2022- January 2023 Methodology: Study of the quantitative type, observational, prospective, descriptive and transverse done on Elders from the Capulispamba community through the Senior Fitness test that determines the physical condition; testing muscular strength, resistance, flexibility and agility, the collected data was analyzed using the statistic program SPSS and the results present were done through a simple dynamic using excel. Results: Most patients are female, with an average age of 66 years and prevalence of overweight and obesity. In accordance with the evaluation of the Senior Fitness test, the patients present a regular physical condition for inferior and superior members, aerobic resistance, and flexibility in the upper body; although flexibility in the lower body, agility and balance, the physical condition is good. Conclusion: There is decrease in the physical condition as they age. Also, their physical capacity least affected are their flexibility, agility, and balanced dynamic
