This research arises from the notable loss of interest and knowledge among new generations regarding the Pase del Niño Rey de Reyes, one of the most representative religious and cultural festivities in Riobamba. In response to this issue, it is proposed to design a didactic plan to safeguard this manifestation, delivered through a theoretical-practical class with 4th-year Basic General Education students. The proposal is based on the application of artistic techniques such as collage and Big Art, integrated with educational methodologies such as Project-Based Learning and the Flipped Classroom, which are aligned with the Cultural and Artistic Education curriculum. Initially, an ethnographic methodology will be used to thoroughly understand the tradition through surveys and interviews with key members of the festivity. Subsequently, the didactic proposal will promote meaningful learning and the active participation of boys and girls in the different cultural traditions, which will result in a clearer vision of the appropriation and knowledge of local cultures and traditions by the students.
