    Diseño de un modelo tarifario para el transporte comercial de carga liviana en el cantón Cuenca

    The need to move goods, services and people has positioned transportation as an essential sector worldwide, for this reason, a clear definition of methodologies for setting rates is required. In the case of Ecuador, there is no methodology for light commercial transportation, despite the existence of fare models for conventional cabs and urban intracantonal public transportation. In view of this situation, the present study proposes to design a fare model for light commercial transportation in the canton of Cuenca, considering the current demand and all costs and expenses incurred in the provision of the service, through the combination of existing methodologies in the country. As a result, a minimum fare of $9.50 USD was obtained, which allows recovering the amounts invested in providing the service and obtaining profitability.
