Item Evolución de los procesos metodológicos para abordar las infraestructuras de transporte en los planes de ordenamiento territorial del cantón Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2018-10-15) Mora Arias, Estefanía Andrea; Flores Juca, Gonzalo EnriqueTransport infrastructures are considered the backbone of all economic activity; several researchers point out that they directly promote economic growth and contribute to development, reducing poverty levels and improving the quality of life of the population. The objective of this research is to know how the methodological processes for the planning of transport infrastructures have evolved in the territorial planning plans in the canton of Cuenca, based on the analysis of scientific and academic publications, as well as on official publications of recognized institutions that have worked and are working on the subject. To conclude, methodological guidelines for the planning of transport infrastructures are proposed, through the identification of the problems found in the methodology used to date in the cantonal territorial planning plans in the case of Cuenca - Ecuador. In addition, a survey of representatives of the 21 parish councils in the canton was conducted to determine their views on transport infrastructure planning. This research offers a better understanding of issues related to transport infrastructure in the field of land use planning.Item Formulación de un modelo de distribución territorial de equipamientos educativos de: educación general básica y bachillerato para ciudades intermedias; estudios en la ciudad de Cuenca(2013) Cabrera Torres, Jessica Marianela; Chalán León, Stalinn Efrén; Mora Arias, Estefanía Andrea; Cordero Domínguez, OswaldoOne aspect of great importance in the planning processes is the location of educational infrastructure, but lack of studies and technical considerations to ensure its proper distribution in the territory. A project of provision of educational infrastructure should be considered not only from the field of architecture, it is also a city project, since the educational infrastructure become generators of development in terms of planning of cities, improving the quality of life of citizens and ensuring equal and territorial equity, ensuring compliance with the rights of the Good Life for all social groups of the population. In this context, the following study aims to become a support tool for planning processes to take place in mid-sized cities, with a dual functionality as it helps in evaluating the current distribution infrastructure and also, determine the optimum conditions for the process macro location new educational infrastructure required. As case studies, they shall refer to the city of Cuenca, for being a City Intermediate, besides, there is evidence of educational infrastructure location characterized by a high degree of improvisation, and it does not correspond to any pattern, territorial distribution model or regulation.
