Item El docente de aula, un agente motivador de la lectura en los estudiantes(2019-09-20) Criollo Espinoza, Angel Vinicio; Morocho Rojas, Adriana Carolina; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizIn the present title work called: The teacher as a motivating agent of reading in students, aims to show theoretically the relationship between two categories, from research and bibliographic analysis. For which, in the first place, the motivating teacher is investigated within the constructivist perspective, from this approach the teacher is a mediating agent that develops different characteristics to become a motivator of the educational process and contributes in a positive way in the attitude of the students to acquire reading habits. Secondly, emphasis is placed on the value of reading and the importance of children reading: and the motivations that make the child acquire the reading habit are shown. In third place, the teacher is analyzed as a motivator of reading, evidencing that his main characteristic should be that of being an active reader. Finally, motivating reading strategies are presented that the teacher can use in the classroom to generate enjoyment for it and develop the reading habit. As a conclusion, it is determined that the teacher is one of the essential motivating agents so that the reading process is pleasant for the children, consequently, educator lays the foundations so that students see reading not only as a benefit within the school environment, but as an essential activity at every moment of his life.Item La dramatización una estrategia para el desarrollo de habilidades lingüísticas(2019-05-16) Mendieta Pintado, Christian Fernando; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizDramatization a strategy for the development of linguistic skills, is an assignment of search, collection and bibliographical analysis that has the objective of producing a document that demonstrates the contribution of the strategy of the dramatization for the development of linguistic skills in students of Basic General Education: middle level, in the Ecuadorian educational context. This monograph consists of three chapters; the first chapter collects several bibliographical sources with the purpose of structuring a conceptualization of the linguistic skills, which are defined as the skills that have people to communicate using the language. According to the Ministry of Education (2016) these skills include reading, writing and oral communication (speaking and listening). In addition, it emphasizes aspects concerned with the importance of these skills in the field of education and some problems that arise in their teaching. The second chapter examines the educational potential of the dramatization as a teaching strategy since its contribution to different areas of the curriculum. Also, several methodological suggestions are collected for their practice in the classroom. After the study in the above mentioned two categories, the third chapter is produced, which analyzes and demonstrates the contribution that dramatization can give to the development of linguistic skills. This research is of a monographic type and is part of the field of education within the area of Language and Literature. The objective of this monographic work is to analyze in a bibliographical way how the development of linguistic macro-skills in children of elementary basic education is produced and promoted. To achieve this objective, the compilation of numerous readings from various bibliographic sources such as: scientific articles, books and magazines according to the research theme has been carried out. Based on the literature reviewed, it is concluded that elementary school teachers need to acquire more information and knowledge about the development and skills that students require to be able to communicate effectively with the individuals in their environment in different contexts. It is a research work under the qualitative approach of bibliographic documentary type, based on the search, analysis and interpretation of information that was carried out with the purpose of knowing how the use of group work techniques such as debate, round table and dramatization influences the development of students' oral expression for a correct communication, oral expression is an indispensable skill to acquire the essential components that complement and improve verbal language, and it also contributes to the integral formation of students because it enables the learning of topics and contents of various areas of knowledge. This research deals with two categories relevant to education: oral expression and group work techniques, for this purpose, three chapters are structured. The first chapter compiles various bibliographical sources to make an approach to the conceptualization of oral expression, also emphasizing characteristic aspects of this competence and communication; the second chapter compiles characteristic elements of group techniques: debate, round table and dramatization; and the third chapter, after the analysis of the two categories, demonstrates the contribution that group techniques provide in the development of oral expression for effective communication. Finally, it is concluded that the techniques in question are tools that promote communicative interaction processes that help to perfect students' orality.Item El hábito lector como fundamento para el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en Educación General Básica(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-09-18) Vargas Sicha, María Eulalia; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizThe monograph carried out is oriented to point out the factors that promote the development of the reading habit, describe the characteristics and components of critical thinking and analyze the link between reading habit and the development of critical thinking at school age. Each one of the factors involved in the reading habit are indispensable in the educational performance of the child, therefore, this study tries to provide a solution to a research problem based on the confirmation of the existing situation in the Basic General Education classrooms (EGB) in relation to reading activity levels and acquired habits. The general objective of this work is to demonstrate that reading habits can help develop critical thinking at school age. In addition, it is verified that arousing interest and love for reading in children and young people in the school process, through the application of strategies according to Basic General Education (EGB) contributes to the development of abilities and skills, autonomy, thought, creativity and personal performance since reading is the key to the advancement of a more educated and educated society. LearningItem Estereotipos de género en el amor romántico de cuentos clásicos y construcción de roles de género de niños y niñas(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-05-17) Suárez León, Lucy Giomayra; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizThis monographic work conduct to establish the relationship between gender stereotypes in romantic love of the classic tales and the construction of gender roles of boys and girls. With this objective the gender stereotypes that appear in romantic love in classic tales and the basic notions about how gender roles are constructed in childhood are analyzed. This analysis is carried out mainly based on notions and concepts from the theory of performativity proposed by the philosopher Judith Butler; the contributions of the psychologist Consuelo Hurtado who broach different theoretical perspectives about how gender roles are constructed; and several studies conducted about romantic love, principally the published by the anthropologist Coral Herrera, who demystifies this social construction. Finally, classic tales that have mostly been used in the Basic General Education practices schools are analyzed, through the bibliographic recount of the gender stereotypes present in this typology of love and its relation with the construction of gender roles. To achieve this purpose, a bibliographic investigation has been carried out, since firstly the different conceptions, types, functions and importance that paratexts exert in a text will be examined. Then, a detailed description is made of the reading comprehension category in aspects of the definitions of reading and compression, reading stages, types of reading, importance of reading comprehension and levels of reading comprehension. After the analysis of the two categories, it is shown how paratexts are important in the reading comprehension, since to understand and interpret a text, the student or the reader must apply several reading activities. These activities are involved the analysis and study of paratexts that are both external and internal. It is concluded that paratexts are essential elements that must intervene when understanding a text, since students or readers when examining the paratexts set the first ideas and previous inferences about textual content.Item Los juegos lingüísticos como estrategia didáctica, para desarrollar fluidez y mejorar la comprensión lectora, en estudiantes de cuarto año de educación general básica(2018) Riera Alvarez, Emily Adriana; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizThe present project of educational intervention, carried out in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, entitled: "linguistic games as a didactic strategy, to develop fluency and improve reading comprehension, in fourth-year students of basic general education, of the San Luis Beltran Educational Center”, proposes a didactic guide with a set of linguistic games that will help the reading flow and improve understanding, way of leveling students with problems of fluency and comprehension, in relation to the rest of students who already handle fluent reading and comprehension of the text. The starting point of the project was, a diagnosis made to all students of the fourth year of Basic General Education, based on an interview with the teacher, where the most ob-vious need of children was reading. Since 49% (17 students) read with syllabication, situation that prevented them from reaching the comprehension of the text. The linguistic games proposed in the didactic guide, aim to level reading skills to overcome the stage of syllabication. For this, 4 units are proposed, the first two aimed at rein-forcing the recognition of letters, syllables, word formation and the two final units, directed to the formation and contextualization of sentences, phrases and paragraphs within texts and to the expression of messages or ideas contained in the text. In the guide, the units 3 and 4 they propose to manage strategies and focused activi-ties in the skills with proposed performance criteria in units 3 and 4 of Student's book of the Ministry of Education.Item La actividad lúdica como estrategia didáctica para reforzar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes de básica elemental con dificultades en la lecto-escritura(2022-09-12) López Cajamarca, Johanna Alejandra; Vásquez Calderón, Sthefany Graciela; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizLudic activity is a widely spread topic, but poorly understood and applied by teachers in their teaching practices. This monograph is part of the field of humanities, specifically, the educational and social fields. It is intended to establish the contribution of playful activity as a didactic strategy to reinforce the learning of elementary school students with difficulties in the reading and writing process. To achieve this objective, various documents, books, scientific articles, and transcribed conferences, were collected and consulted which deepened the subject under study. Based on the bibliographic review, it is determined that learning to read and write is one of the most important and complex knowledge to be developed in students during the initial periods of instruction, for this reason, demands from the student a series of skills and abilities to successfully stand up to with such learning. Nevertheless, not all students have them and they are not prepared to learn to read and write in the best way, it is evident that there are students who have difficulties in consolidating these macro-skills. It can be verified that ludic activities are one of the best didactic strategiesthat educators have for teaching and that it allows improving the learning of students with reading writing difficulties because they motivate learning, reinforce the comprehension of texts, acquire reading speed, and strengthen the communication skills necessary for their daily lives.Item La actividad lúdica para la enseñanza de la expresión oral en la educación básica elemental(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-10-11) Chicaiza Criollo, Maribel Alexandra; Guanoquiza Suárez, Doménica Gabriela; Mora Abril, Nancy BeatrizIn the present work, an investigation was conducted on playful activities for teaching oral expression in elementary basic education. The objective was to analyze the importance and use of playful activities for teaching oral expression in the classroom, based on a qualitative methodology that included a documented bibliographic review of the literature on playful activities that favor the teaching of oral expression in children. It was concluded that play activities are useful to work on this macro skill in all the years that make up the Elementary Basic Education level. The present research is a monograph of education, particularly in the area of Language and Literature. The objective of this research is to determine through a literature review the relationship between the use of children’s literature and reading habits in children of primary school. To achieve such objective, the literature review was done through the recompilation, analysis and summary of diverse documents, scientific articles, and books related to the different variables of the research at hand. Based on the literature review we concluded children’s literature used as a didactic strategy has a positive impact in the acquisition and development of reading habits in children since the subgenres in children’s literature are appealing and allow pleasant reading. The objective of this study was to know how the basic cognitive processes are related to the difficulties present in learning to read in basic education students, since reading is one of the essential processes in the learning of different subjects or contents of the various areas, so that, when difficulties arise in learning to read in a certain way, the correct obtaining of new knowledge is hindered, which prevents children from advancing in a normal way their academic training process and in turn they create negative restrictions on their learning. That is why the present work is of a monographic type, it was raised under the qualitative approach, it is of a bibliographic documentary type, because it is a process based on the search, recovery, analysis, criticism and interpretation of secondary data, that is, those obtained and recorded by other researchers in documentary sources: printed, audiovisual or electronic, with the purpose of explaining, contrasting and knowing information that is beneficial for the research work.
