    Frecuencia y características clínicas del síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo en gestantes de 20 a 40 años en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, periodo septiembre del 2019 y septiembre del 2020

    Background: Hypertensive pregnancy syndrome are the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Objective: To determine the frequency and clinical characteristics of hypertensive pregnancy syndrome in pregnant women aged 20 to 40 years at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital in the period September 2019 to September 2020. Methods: An analytical, retrospective, cross-sectional study was performed. Information was collected from the clinical histories of 208 pregnant women with hypertensive pregnancy syndrome, aged between 20 and 40 years attended at that hospital, from September 2019 to September 2020. The information was taken in a data collection form and then processed in the SPSS version 21 program. We worked with the mean, standard deviation, for age and the statistician X2 for the relationship between the variables. Results: The frequency of hypertensive pregnancy syndrome was 5.4%. with a predominance in pregnant woman aged 31 to 34 (37.1%), o mestizo ethnic group (98.5%), with a partner stable (76%), from urban areas (66.3%). The predominant hypertensive syndrome was preeclampsia with several severities (59.6%). The most important clinical characteristic was arterial hypertension (66.8%) The outstanding risk factor was primiparity (31.7%). Sociodemographics did not show a statistically significant relationship with the clinical characteristics. Conclusions: The frequency of hypertensive pregnancy syndrome in the study population is high and are mainly associated with several factors such as: obesity, primiparity, history of preeclampsia, multiple pregnancies
