Item Análisis del tratamiento de la información sobre temas ambientales por parte de Diario El Mercurio y Diario El Tiempo de Cuenca, durante los meses de mayo y junio de 2017(2018) Quiridumbay Guallpa, Cristian Geovany; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaAnalysis research management and treatment of information on environmental issues by Diario El Mercurio and Diario El Tiempo during the months of May and June 2017. It aims to know what treatment they give these media to information that has to do with the environment. For the results of this research a content analysis of the news stories of both papers depending on the categories and variables that were established on the basis of environmental and journalistic concepts was made. This allowed to establish a relationship between environment-journalism and process information more rigorously. The categories were established: environmental issues, section, journalistic genre, information sources, treatment and contextualizing information. The topics of the theoretical framework allowed analyze the results based on the theoretical foundation, since the issue of the environmental crisis is addressed, the government response to environmental problems, the main environmental problems, the theoretical foundation of environmental journalism and journalism specialized. Finally the results allowed to compare and differentiate between the two media, noting that showed greater similarities than differences. Daily newspaper El Mercurio and the time address environmental issues with the same features that address any other issue, giving it more informative approach. Therefore topics on the environment lack depth and contextualization.Item Análisis del tratamiento periodístico del tema ambiental en los diarios El Tiempo y El Mercurio: caso Kimsacocha, periodo 2008 – 2016(2018) Márquez Márquez, Wilmer Oswaldo; Buestán Morquecho, Felipe Santiago; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaThe means of communication have a great potential for orientation, education and facilitate elements of justice to the population so that they can take right decisions. This is why thru the present study, people pretend to know how the means addresses information on environmental issues. If they do so from an environmental, social and political perspective in an integral way, they could contribute to the construction of an environmental knowledge, which will revolutionize and promote a change in the way of conforming the world in relation to nature and the space that makes it up, but If, on the contrary, they do so in a circumstantial manner and with a partial view of the facts, the population will not have the necessary elements to make decisions and actions. The main objective of this research is to analyze the journalistic treatment of environmental issues in the newspapers El Tiempo and El Mercurio: the Kimsacocha case in the period from 2008 to 2016. To determine if the abortion was profound and comprehensive as an environmental and limited perspective. We used the methodology of the Content Analysis and the Structured Interview that allowed to reveal the journalistic treatment of the Kimsacocha case. In this way, it was shown that there was no comprehensive and deep treatment with an environmental perspective.Item Análisis discursivo, desde un enfoque de género, de la representación del cuerpo femenino en el programa televisivo “De Boca en Boca”(2019-04-23) Loja Nivicela, Jessica Marcela; Pillco Pillco, Bryan Fabricio; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaThis research project analyzes the way of the woman body is constructed and presented in the program "De Boca en Boca". This program was taken as a reference because it has a high rating and is transmitted in a "General Audiences" band, according to article 65 of the Organic Communication Law, which establishes a Classification of audiences and time slots. The analysis was based on a review of 10 broadcast programs during the months of July, August and December 2018. The results have been analyzed in light of the theories of the gender approach and the Hypodermic needle. The general conclusion shows that this entertainment program reproduces a stereotype of women under the standards of an idea of western beauty, likewise the woman is taken as a body that must be exhibited. This entertainment program responds to a patriarchal logic that transforms information into merchandise where the body is used in the system of commercial consumption.Item Campaña de responsabilidad eco-social con la EMAC EP en colegios de la ciudad de Cuenca(2016) Benítez Vidal, Estefanía Victoria; Criollo Baculima, Elvia Verónica; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaThe reinforcement of the environmental culture, the social and environmental responsibility of the youth of several local educational institutions, was given through the creation and execution of the “Campaña de Responsabilidad ECO-SOCIAL con la EMAC EP en colegios de la ciudad de Cuenca” (ECO-SOCIAL Responsibility Campaign with the EMAC EP in Cuenca´s high schools) with the input and coordination of the Sanitary Municipality Enterprise of Cuenca and with the support of the Philosophy, Letters and Educational Sciences Faculty. This project presents several core strategies given by the public relations, that help with the elaboration of the educational communication strategies that links theories of Social, Business and Environmental Responsibilities among others. Implementing activities that motivate, inform, sensitize and capacitate of the several concepts and ideas that are represented in this project of ECO-SOCIAL Responsibility to the students.Item Difusión de una comunicación transversal, multidisciplinaria y científica de la sexualidad, a través del podcast de radio “Manifiesto Desnudo”(2018) Pasaco González, Paola de los Ángeles; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaManifiesto Desnudo is a radio podcast that combines three elements: sexuality, youth and radio. The purpose was to promote a transversal, multidisciplinary and scientific communication of sexuality. To this end, a multidisciplinary, intercultural and participatory approach was applied, different journalistic and radio genres were used and the content was published. This podcast was born in a social context where 9 of 10 young ecuadorians want to talk about sexuality. And it was justified for its social relevance, documentary value, practical utility and contributions to the way in which sexuality is communicated. The Manifiesto Desnudo was based on participatory action research and the theory of creation and dissemination of attitudes and stereotypes from the media. For that reason, literature review, focus group and interview techniques were used. The root of this project lies in the lack of an interculturalcommunication manual, which takes into account the two existing cultures and whichserves as support for the public management of the institution. The manual is the result of a qualitative investigation of the cultural groups that are thepublic to which the Mayor of Morona owes, with whom it must have a harmoniousrelationship. The Manual of Intercultural Communication will serve as a guide for the Department ofCommunication, which will have the task of socializing with the rest of the departmentsthat require it, in order that all the activities of the institution are carried out under thesame norms and guidelines, in order to achieve interculturality through communication.Item Implementación de un periódico comunitario en la parroquia Cojitambo del cantón Azogues, provincia del Cañar(2018) Jara González, Edwin Efrén; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaNowadays, the alternative, participatory and decentralized communication is possible thanks to the development of the web 3.0. This permitted the apparition and possession of the social networks, which let us an opener and more decentralized communication. For this reason, I have decided to elaborate and publish the Digital Community Journal “The Observatory” through the social network Facebook. In order to make it possible, the authorities and the students of the “Dr. Gabriel Sanchez Luna” high school participated and were immersed in this project. The newspaper was structured with the active participation and the unified work of the authorities, students and the whole community, which was of a democratic, participatory and inclusive type. It allowed the construction of an open and alternative communication that emphasizes topics of cultural and tourist type from Cojitambo Parish, from its materiality and intangibility, which has rescued celebrations and ancestral knowing. These things make the parish attractive for many local, national and international tourists. This project of community and participatory type will be supportable through the time, thanks to the collaboration of students and authorities of the high school, who adopted it as their own project.Item Implementación de un periódico comunitario, en la parroquia Baños, perteneciente al cantón Cuenca(2017) González Barrera, María Eulalia; Ramón Sinchi, Elizabeth Viviana; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaThe present titling work includes the process of research and implementation of the virtual newspaper "El Bañense". In order to determine the feasibility of this means of communication, a study was carried out through a survey directed at 376 residents of the area. According to the research, 94.68% of the parish population has access to the internet and 98.94% agree with the implementation of this newspaper, among other aspects. This project has a content of four chapters; first one details the history, political organization, customs and traditions of Baños community. The second chapter develops some conceptual elements on alternative communication, popular, community, digital journalism. The third chapter describes the research developed from surveys on elements relevant to the implementation of the virtual newspaper. In the fourth chapter presents the virtual newspaper, its conception, thematic and the graphic design proposed.Item Plan de comunicación estratégica para el posicionamiento ambiental y social del restaurante Luz y Sal(Universidad de Cuenca, 2019-12-11) Abad Rodas, Jennifer Michelle; Valdez Apolo, María Angélica; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaIn this day and age, the practice of good social and environmental practices seems outdated. To some extent this is because there are few institutions that implement them, and in other areas, there is little communication concerning how to implement them. This is not always the case, however. “Luz y Sal” is a restaurant that has integrated efficient and regular practices in its mission to be seen as a friendly and environmentally conscious company. When you consider how they can serve as an example and motivator for other organizations, it is important to promote and communicate their ideals. To accomplish this, a diagnosis was made using a qualitative and quantitative methodology which discovered, among other things, "Luz y Sal's" positioning in social networks, which can be a key tool for generating a positive effect on society. From this, a communication plan was proposed in which strategies that the company will develop in the future will be established, both for the external and internal public to cultivate the culture of social and environmental support. As part of the communication plan, a campaign was carried out on social networks entitled “No dejes de brillar, sé Luz y Sal”, which was accomplished in garnering positive interaction with the patrons of the restaurant. The publications that were distributed had informative and striking content, made with the purpose of motivating customers to be part of the contributions made by the company.Item El sensacionalismo y las masculinidades:el rol de los medios en la construcción de la masculinidad, estudio de caso diario Extra(2019-06-17) Heras Muñoz, Juan Alejandro; Molina Loyola, Ruth CeciliaThis thesis is an analysis related to the sensationalism and masculinities present in the written media, taking as a case of study the newspaper El Extra, of which 12 copies of the entertainment section have been taken. Since nowadays the topics of gender violence or gender within the country have taken relevance in the media. Although, the most recurrent in terms of these issues are violence against women and the struggle for women's equality within society, it would be important to know the perspective in relation to men. The first chapter is a contextualization of the written world-wide, which allows to better understand the exercise of this profession in a general plane, within this chapter is spoken about: the press in Ecuador, the history of the newspaper El Extra. The second chapter covers everything related to gender, patriarchy and how these aspects are developed at a social level, what is the relevance and importance of this topic for the realization of this research.
