La Consagración de la Primavera desde la teoría de Arthur Schopenhauer(2019-04-25) Miketta Astudillo, Evelyn Daniela; Ambrosi De la Cadena, Marco AntonioThe present essay analyses the ballet work The rite of Spring from the aesthetic theory and the fundamental concepts used by the philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. First, the concepts that the philosopher uses for his aesthetic theory will be described, as they are: will, intuition, contemplation, art, beauty, as well as the end of art as liberation of will. Secondly, a synopsis of the ballet work, along with the different reactions of the spectators in the opening night and the distinction Romanticism and Expressionism in the dance. Finally, the work is analyzed starting from its rupture with the Romantic Movement, through the use of the categories of Schopenhauer applying the elements dance.
