Un análisis desde los factores demográficos(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-02-06) Herrera Jarrin, María José; Melgar Fernandez, Katherine Yadira; Aguirre Quezada, Juan Carloshe objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between demographic factors: age, sex and education level in the behavioral biases of Financial Education, Social Comparison, Locus of Control, Optimism, Self-Efficacy/Overconfidence, Loss Aversion, Entrepreneur Fallacy, Procrastination and Status Quo, manifested in the social entrepreneurs of the canton Cuenca 2023. The study had a quantitative, cross-sectional and non-experimental methodological approach with multiple linear regression analysis. For this purpose, the database of the research project of the University of Cuenca “Behavioral Finance: Focus on Social Entrepreneurship” was used. The results of the study revealed that the education level variable is the most significant variable for studying behavioral biases, since it had a significant influence on six of the nine biases evaluated (Financial Education, Social Comparison, Locus of Control, Self-Efficacy/Overconfidence, Loss Aversion and Status Quo). On the other hand, the sex variable did not show any significant relationship and the age variable was representative only for the Entrepreneurial Fallacy bias. Additionally, it was determined that the Procrastination bias did not show any significant relationship with the variables presented.
