This research is based on the objective of analyzing the criticism of what could be called Latin American modernity from the categories of transmodernity and analéctics to determine which aspects of European modernity in Latin America are still valid and which have been transformed. For this, the work of Enrique Dussel is taken as a center in terms of the previously mentioned concepts, contrasting them with the Latin American historical reality and its actuality in political, social, cultural and educational terms, starting particularly from the Ecuadorian context, but contrasting it with the Venezuelan, Bolivian, Argentine and Mexican, according to the particular case of study. In this sense, modernity is first addressed as a problem, then the principles of liberation philosophy, the concepts and implications of Transmodernity and Enrique Dussel's Analectic, to finally identify which aspects of European modernity are have transformed and which are still in force in Latin America.
