    Elaboración de cinco arreglos de temas tomados del libro “Yaravíes Quiteños” de Juan Agustín Guerrero, para quinteto de vientos madera

    This present project shows the process of preparing five arrangements of songs taken from the book "Yaravíes Quiteños" for the woodwind quintet format. The work carries out a research about the yaravi genre, the book “Yaravíes Quiteños”, the arranging techniques, the woodwind quintet and the sound combination of the instruments. The selected pieces: “Yupaichisca”, “El Llanto”, “El Mayordomo”, “El Yumbo” and “El Masalla”, were modified in structure, melody, rhythm and harmony through the application of arranging techniques, which are analyzed in this project. The objective of this research is the recovery of Ecuadorian works and their insertion in the repertoire of contemporary ensembles, in order to strengthen the Ecuadorian musical identity.
