The present study aims to determine the effects of behavioral biases when making decisions about the source of financing necessary for social enterprises in the Cuenca canton to function efficiently, with the aim of providing a more detailed understanding of how These decision patterns can distort the financing process. To do this, the main behavioral biases identified are reviewed and their presence in the population of social entrepreneurs in the Cuenca canton is analyzed, subsequently their influence on their financing decisions is determined. For fine stories, a descriptive and non-experimental methodology is used, based on surveys applied to 177 ventures. The results showed that, generally, excess confidence and training are key for any type of entrepreneurship. The main conclusion is that the most influential biases are optimism, trust and loss aversion, even when financing comes from the family members' own resources.
