Actualización del Inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Sevilla de Oro con aplicación de la nueva metodología del ministerio de turismo del Ecuador, 2017
(2020-06-04) Mayancela Jimbo, Maria Catalina; Reinoso Naula, Andrea Estefania; Espinoza Figueroa, Freddy Edgar
This study exposes the inventory of tourist attractions of Sevilla de Oro, canton of the province of Azuay, as a basic tool for tourism planning considering that it allows to recognize the natural and cultural attractions that each of the parishes has; in addition, it is an element that contributes to the territorial planning of the space in which each attraction is found and the neighboring population, taking into account that tourism and territory cannot be separated from each other. The geographic space of study did not have this tool and according to the methodology of inventories proposed by the governing body of Ecuador, this project was proposed by both, the cantonal authorities and the academy. Attractions were inventoried, then classified, weighted and hierarchized, after resorted to zoning and grouping tourist attractions in different territorial spaces. As a result of this project, ten of the fifteen attractions offered by the cantonal government were obtained, because some of them are considered only resources. Out of the ten attractions, two are cultural and eight are natural, including the hydroelectric dams of the Paute-Integral project. Finally, the information obtained will be used by the cantonal GAD for tourism planning and management projects.
