    Etnografía de las percepciones y expectativas del proyecto minero Loma Larga (Chumblín San Fernando)

    The present work, based on the research results developed in the Chumblín parish of the Azuay province, has as its main objective to expose and contextualize the different perceptions and expectations that the inhabitants of the Chumblín parish have regarding the mining issue; also highlight the presence of the company INV Minerales S.A. in the territory and its relationship with the population. In the same way, publicize the problems that exist within the community, since there is a diversity of interpretations and positions around mining; Mainly from the ecological and economic spheres, they have a great impact on the way of life of the community. The results obtained from the perspective of the population with respect to mining, show two views with respect to this issue; firstly, greater investment in infrastructure, improvement of basic services and above all economic activation, and secondly, insecurity, contamination of water sources and considerable immigration to the parish
