The general objective of this monographic work of curricular integration is to analyze the role of early childhood education teachers in the context of the pandemic. For doing so, teachers’ experience descriptions in the online modality were collected. The methodology of this work relates an exploratory-descriptive type with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted in Cuenca, Ecuador. Some data collection techniques were used; the review of theoretical fundamentals in books, scientific articles, graduate theses, normative documents published by the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC- in Spanish), and a semi-structured interview. The sample was made of eight teachers belonging to public and private early education centers. Seven of them participated virtually, and one participant attended on-site. The structure of the interview had these features: nine general, exemplary, structural, and contrast questions. It also had four categories and six subcategories, which allowed the analysis and organization of the data through a consistency matrix. It helped conclude that the instructor’s role was transformed and adapted to the students’ context. Likewise, the strategies proposed by MINEDUC required the development of specialized booklets for the infants’ needs, the ICT training, the creation of multimedia material, flexibility in cases of vulnerability, and the implementation of communication spaces with the children’s parents were also part of the findings
