    Hernias inguinales recidivantes en los pacientes atendidos en el servicio de cirugía del Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo en período entre enero 1 de 1998 y el 31 de diciembre de 2003

    This is a retrospective regional study from 1998-2003 in which 317 patients over 12 years, mostly in mostly farmers, male, who were treated in the surgery for inguinal hernia present included. Risk factors, family relationships, among other was identified and the effectiveness of the traditional surgical techniques was evaluated. He found 9.5 recurrence after surgical treatment. The most widely used technique in this group was the technique of Mc Vay (61.8), and recurrence of 8.67. Lieschtenstein technique was found to be the most effective with 3.44 relapses and recurrences more technique presented in this study was the technique with 13.9 recurrence Bassin
