Item Evaluación del efecto de inoculantes de suelo nativo y raíces de Macleania rupestris en dos sustratos sobre el crecimiento de plántulas de la misma especie(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-08-06) Luna Avila, Daniela Nicole; Mendieta Gutiérrez, Luis Ángel; Peña Tapia, Denisse FabiolaMacleania rupestris, commonly known as joyapa, is a native plant belonging to the family Ericacea, known for its benefits both for human health and for the sustenance of the ecosystems in which it grows. Finding substrates where this species is correctly established is of utmost importance for its domestication, besides, understanding the microorganism substrate interactions is important to understand how the endophytic microbial colonies of root, surrounding soil and rhizospheric soil are related to the peat and fiber substrates where they are inoculated. As a method of study, the variables plant height and number of leaves were evaluated over a period of 4 months, and the biomass variable was evaluated only in the last data collection of the experiment. It was identified that the peat substrate establishes higher plant survival rates regardless of the inoculant used. In turn, the surrounding soil inoculum vehicle presented better rates of height increase denoting greater plant growth, while the peat plus root inoculant treatment denoted greater leaf production over the course of the trial. This study shows the effect of substrates on the production of joyapa seedlings and the potential of microbial inoculants in the domestication process of Macleania rupestris
