The diversity of its four regions has resulted in hundreds of thousands of species of flora and fauna. In itself, it provides attractive with great historical value, gastronomic delights and a variety of cultures and traditions. In each province are different tourist attractions that make it different from each other, one of these is the Azuay province, with its capital Caca and its cantons offer tourists a variety of alternatives from great gift parks, historic sites, beautiful handicrafts, rich gastronomy, entered other events that make this province an ideal place to enjoy a time of recreation and relaxation. Gualaceo is a canton that has worthy attractions to be visited, its historical center with his houses of colonial and republican style inside stored unique and interesting histories of the canton, his church“Santiago de Gualaceo” that more than being a building with great historical value, it is a place where hundreds of devotees of “Apostol Santiago” employer of the canton, his crafts are concentrated such us the “sombreros de paja toquilla” and “macanas” stand out between his activities, generating considerable economic income to the canton through its marketing,the different festive and civic acts that develop are considered by the own tourists as manifestations of great cultural value and his traditional gastronomy that without place to doubt is one of preferred of the province of the Azuay. This research work is aimed at analyzing every cultural manifestation cataloged cultural heritage and determine their importance in the development of tourism in the province of Azuay.
