To meet the objective, a cross-sectional study is carried out applying the SERVQUAL Model, on a sample of 402 users, to analyze the perceptions and expectations of the users of this means of transport, a questionnaire of 18 items is used for both expectations and perceptions, with a total of 36 questions. The data was analyzed by a combination of statistical techniques in SPSS, which included, among others, validation of the reliability of the questionnaire with Cronbach's Alpha, a regression equation of the applied model, and hypotheses that were tested using the chi-square statistical test. Within the SERVQUAL model, five dimensions were considered: Tangible elements, Reliability, Responsiveness, Security and Empathy, which were extracted together with their perceived values. This analysis presented, as the main result, that expectations are higher than perceptions, that is, quality levels are low, there is low user satisfaction and, therefore, the quality of the service of this means of transport in Cuenca is lower than what the user expectsItem Análisis de productividad en las tres principales líneas de fabricación y plan de mejora operativa para Qiwa S.A(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-09-30) Álvarez Santacruz, María Cristina; Segura Idrovo, Kamila Alejandra; Loyola Ochoa, Diego MauricioThe objective of this research was to analyze the productivity of the three main product lines manufactured by Qiwa S.A., identify critical improvement areas, and design an operational proposal of optimization for the production area. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining direct observation, interviews with key personnel, process mapping, and time studies using stopwatch techniques. This methodology enabled the establishment of standard times and the evaluation of key performance indicators such as labor productivity, unit costs, gross profit, and profitability. The findings revealed that standardized products exhibit higher efficiency and profitability per hour worked, whereas customized products incur additional costs and longer production times. Based on these insights, an improvement plan is proposed, focusing on production segmentation, process standardization, and limiting customization through the use of base products. These actions represent a strategic opportunity for Qiwa S.A. to optimize its resources, strengthen managerial decision-making, and enhance its competitive position in the artisanal manufacturing market.Item Aplicación de un modelo matemático para el diseño de la cadena de suministro en el sector de neumáticos en Ecuador(2019) Romero Galarza, Carlos Armando; Campoverde Campoverde, Jorge Arturo; Jiménez, Jonnathan; Coronel Pangol, Katherine Tatiana; Loyola Ochoa, Diego Mauricio; Naula Sigua, Freddy BenjamínThis research studies the supply chain taking as reference tires productive sector in Ecuador.
