Determinación de la carga sísmica para tanques de hormigón de almacenamiento con geometría ovoide
(2019-04-26) Loja Reiban, Robinson Eduardo; García Alvear, Jaime Enrique
The design of building-type structures is widely studied in the field of civil engineering, where the modulus of elasticity and geometric properties of the elements represent the main variables when determining seismic performance, the present work is aimed at determine the shear forces generated by the water inside a concrete tank, the distribution of the consequent pressure generated on the vertical walls, and the effects of the support conditions on the forces that are generated. For the development of what has been raised, the analytical formulations of design codes NEC-SE-DS 2015, ACI 350.3-06 have been followed, the latter being specific for the design of container structures with rectangular and circular geometry, a case of study on the digester of the water treatment plant that will be located in Guangarcucho, in process of execution by ETAPA EP, this type of digesters has an ovoid geometry that is not contemplated in the mentioned design codes for which a cylinder was applied Equivalent with equal height and volume, additionally in order to contrast the information obtained by analytical methods, three models were made to be solved by the finite element method (Finite Element Method, FEM), for which the ANSYS 19.2 software and the application were selected. Fluent that is a solver of the CFD equations package "computational fluid dynamics" which can be applied to Multiphase problems.
