    Efectos que genera la discriminación laboral en el bienestar emocional de la población LGBTI que están articuladas a las diferentes asociaciones de la ciudad de Cuenca, durante el período 2022-2023

    Labor discrimination against the LGBTIQ+ population is a latent problem worldwide and when this type of discrimination occurs, it can affect their emotional well-being, due to the acts experienced, either by the employer, co-workers and even customers. Thus, the purpose of the study was to determine the effects generated by labor discrimination on the emotional well-being of the LGBTIQ+ population that are articulated to the different associations of the city of Cuenca, during the period 2022-2023. Likewise, the type of research was mixed with quantitative preponderance, exploratory, descriptive and explanatory level, survey techniques, questionnaire and in-depth interview. Likewise, the quantitative part for the sociodemographic characterization of the LGBTIQ+ population, to formulate questions about the work environment and emotional well-being, we worked with the entities that opened the degree work with a total of 16 participants, for the selection we used non-probabilistic intentional sampling, the qualitative part was to know the perceptions of the interviewees about labor discrimination and the effects on emotional well-being considering: 1.- Articulation to the institutions, 2.- Over 18 years of age and 3. victims of employment discrimination The results obtained through the techniques and instruments applied reflect that the LGBTIQ+ population suffers labor discrimination in different ways, by the employer towards those who identify themselves as gay and Transfemale, private sector, in addition, they are vulnerable choosing to hide their sexual orientation, for trans people it is difficult due to physical changes in their body, in addition, it is determined that it affects their emotional well-being, through depressive and anxious symptoms, suicidal spectrum and life satisfaction.
