    This researchstudythe theoryof Socialism of theXXIcentury, whichunderpinsthe actions ofprogressive governmentsin Latin America, specifically in theEcuador,whichthe hand of thepolitical projectofthe citizen's revolutionaims to achieveradical changes in thecountrytowards achievingGood Living.The paper presentsthe theory ofnew socialism, which contrastswith realityand displays thedegree of coherence ofthe policies implemented bythe regimeand makesbased onthe achievementsand limitations of theproject. The researchmakes useof deductive-inductive-deductive method, using severalbibliographic resources, alsomethods andtechniques such asobservation and interview.All theseresources helpedestablishthe onsetand developmentof this newsocialisminEcuador. It made use oftheoreticalsources from thepromoters of the socialism of theXXI century(Dieterich, Harnecker, Boron) andalso those whohave workedon the issueof Good Living. Theresult achievedaccomplishmentscontrasts, contradictions andlimitations of thecitizens' revolutionafter 7 yearsof government withnew socialismtheoryand also withthe principlesof Good Living. Concludingthat political projectunderway, has modernized thestate,institutionalizedand returnedtheir functions.We also affirm thatthe citizen's revolution, but has developedseveral principlesof Good Living, on the other handhas certainneo-developmentalismfeatures incombination withneo-structuralistselements.
