    This project proposes the innovate a commercial shop in Cuenca, through the design of a ceiling using textiles as the main element for design, creating a mix of materials to create new forms and thus motivate changes in other shops or any space to be redesigned. Generate such ceiling using a natural fiber such as jute, a biodegradable and recyclable material, characterized by not saturate the space and creates an unobstructed view of the environment, obtaining a unique, creative and different zone; which helps draw the user's attention, encouraging them to enter the store, thus achieving the design to stay longer in the mind of the user and is recognized as a new benchmark for commercial design ecofriendly.

    Interpretación aplicada desde la representación tridimensional a escala de los elementos simbólicos y estéticos de los espacios habitables del pueblo Kichwa Amazónico

    The present work is a study and a technical and descriptive analysis of the symbolic elements in the housing and in the traditional architecture Ecuadoran Kichwa de la Amazonia. In this study one will been aware of the Amazonian culture, his rites, customs, cultures, and especially the cosmovision and simbology that agglutinate the indigenous houses Kichwa. We will see for it, the implication of the different cultures in the Amazonian world, and the behavior and the symbiosis that takes place in the meeting of these worlds. To know and to raise this work has been necessary a direct approximation with the community Kichwa, where one has been aware on the area of the key elements: simbology, ancient practices, environment, housings, supply, hunt, fishing, pharmacological world, etc. All this, it has allowed us the production of a three- dimensional model scale, which demonstrates the personality of the people Kichwa: his architectural form, his space, his archetypal vision, his practical and spiritual applications, his meaning and his cosmological implication.

    Rediseño interior lumínico de una escalera en una vivienda unifamiliar

    This project is based on an investigation about the lighting applied in the vertical circulation of a detached house. Analyzing: the lighting’s types, the access’ ways of the vertical circulation, and the studying of the lighting’s perception, even the visual comfort; standing out the most relevant information for the production of the redesign, to provide an ideal visual comfort the same one that offers safety in the user on having used the stairs and grants major importance to this element inside the interior design. The redesign also provides with a technical and practical solution for the construction and implementation of the new lighting system, which prevents for possible damage within the facility and luminaires lifetime. As a result of this project, a virtual model that shows the results of the new application of the illumination elements by the geometric matrix is presented.

    Urbanismo y arte no convencional: el grafiti en Cuenca-Ecuador

    This research explores carefully different manifestations that adopt the unconventional urban art, graffiti in their shapes, types, styles, supports and relations with urban planning and community. The information collected, provided by art critics, cultural managers, graffiti practitioners show the current status of graffiti in Cuenca, Ecuador. The research had as target group the graffiti artist of Cuenca, who practice this art and are organized under the sponsorship of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cuenca and also those free acting or in group but without institutional supervision in the period 2012-2013.
