    Manifestaciones clínicas en pacientes de 5 -19 años con diagnóstico de faringoamigdalitis aguda estreptocócica, Centro de Salud Nº 1. Cuenca, 2013

    Objetive: Identify clinical manifestations compatible with Tonsillopharyngitis Acute Streptococcal confirmed with culture in patients 5 -19 years who consulted the Health Center No. 1, Cuenca, July-September 2013. Methods and Materials: A descriptive study (case series), in a population of 280 patients with clinical manifestations of Tonsillopharyngitis, of these 93 were studied, which were culture positive for beta hemolytic streptococcus group A was performed. The data were obtained directly and analyzed in Microsoft Excel and SPSS 15 software. Results: The average age was 11.3 years; 61.2 % female, residing in urban area 95.6 % and 68.8 % had instruction basic. The more frequent symptoms found were: tonsillar exudate occurred in 93.5%, the odinodisfagia at 91.3 %, temperature rising 90.3%, malaise in 84.9%, anterior cervical lymph hypertrophy in 89.2%, petechiae donuts in 62.3% and 58.0% inthechill. Conclusions: The most frequent clinical manifestations were tonsillar exudate, odinodisfagia, temperature rise and anterior cervical lymph hypertrophy.
