Modelo de negocio basado en Clusters para los productos derivados de la caña de azúcar en el cantón Santa Isabel, periodo 2018-2021
(2019-02-07) Lema Puma, Silvia Jacqueline; Tacuri Tacuri, Jorge Gabriel; Saquicela Novillo, Fernando Adrián
The objective of the thesis is to propose a business model based on clusters for the sugarcane by-products in Santa Isabel. The project focuses on economic activity of the families from Santa Isabel; the planting, the transformation process, and the commercialization of products such as raw sugar cane, liquor, and honey. The idea of basing ourselves on clusters is due to the small and medium enterprises that are located within the same geographical area, and there is the availability of public and private institutions to work together. With the model we intend to solve the problems faced by both farmers and producers, by applying strategies that allow obtaining competitive advantage and social growth. Our project has the goal to improve the quality of life, strengthen the cultivation of cane, and offer quality products through the generation of added value and innovation, involving all the actors of the value chain. The development of the work begins with the identification of the current situation of the sector. Afterwards, a field investigation is carried out to then define the products that are going to be sold, the market to which it is directed and the marketing. Finally, through strategic planning, the action plan and financial analysis will be developed, and the feasibility of the business will be analyzed.
