    Causas que motiva la deserción y bajo rendimiento académico de los/las estudiantes de la Carrera de Enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca. 2016

    Student desertion is a major problem in the system of higher education for their negative impact on academic, economic, social and cultural student processes, so it is necessary to conduct studies to determine the causes that lead to contribute to decrease. GENERAL OBJECTIVE Determine the causes for dropout and low academic achievement / students of the career of Nursing at the University of Cuenca. METHODOLOGY: The research is quantitative and descriptive; the universe formed with 816 students and the sample comprised 100 students; the results are presented through graphs and tables, the technique used: a survey of students RESULTS: 80% of students are female and 20% male the most relevant age is 21- 25 years of age at a rate of 64%; that its origin is 40% of Azuay marital status married 55% 26% followed by cohabiting and 19% married; that 68% of them receive assistance of their parents, and that 48% work and study, and finally to 100% of students surveyed 70% of them are satisfied with the race assigned by the CENECYT
