The main problem in the bakeries registered in the MIPRO of the province of Azuay is the lack of competitive strategies. For this reason, the main objective has been the "Analysis of the competitive strategies used by the small bakeries of the province of Azuay (MIPRO), in addition to a" Proposal for a Competitive Improvement Plan to increase productivity and competitiveness for The small bakeries inscribed in the MIPRO of the province of Azuay". In order to reach this objective, a descriptive research was carried out where qualitative and quantitative data were obtained. The information was obtained through primary sources, applying surveys to the owners of the bakeries of the province of Azuay that are registered in the MIPRO. Used secondary sources, using a database provided by MIPRO, INEC data, Central Bank, magazines, books, etc. Through the investigation it was possible to diagnose that this group of bakeries at the moment do not have strategies to face the problems presented to them.
