The Illustrated Dictionary of place names of Cajas” product, the result of research of this theoretical study, a small format book conceived as a functional publishing system to carry in your backpack for an excursion or exploration. Through an ethnographic field study or visit, for the development of the work and especially the illustrations and photographs, as the author of the thesis I had to engage in climate and survival in the old “Kaxas” term I coined the word “Cajas” according to Ruth Rodriguez Sotomayor investigator in his book The Kingdom of the Kitus (referring to the realms inhabited north and south of what is now the Ecuadorian highlands). Reflecting on the historical process of these territories and putting on shoes ethnographer, I had to stay long in a place witnessing the events happening around, doing interviews, and narrating situations involved in the field work and share with the community food. These motivations became arriving home in important research to write the corresponding theoretical framework, but also motivated to imagine beautiful scenery, use photographs and interpret them with traces on any surface; thus, the product was born as explored and photographs of landscapes was achieved Cajas. To have a broader notion of the subject I will quote the discipline responsible for studying the origin and name of the territory or places; etymologically, “place names”; They are the visual-phonetic lexicon search for the origin of a place-territory-continent, etc.; the word topos = place; and nimia = name; refer us to a place name meaning “name the place”; considering that the human being from the beginning seeking to locate and use the language and writing as a means of communication. The illustrated dictionary has and tells important situations for nature conservation and historic places highlighting the Cajas National Park; remeasured and revitalizes. The plight and aggressive temperature to survive in the “Cajas” has been the reason why there have been no studies illustrated anthropological, or have lacked full images testify the history of a largely inhospitable space and currently tourism “Cajas” . This editorial product so provide entertaining information on how you came to raise and consolidate the work of place names on the historic sites of the Cajas National Park

After having acquired the information in interior design, and having assimilated the knowledge. I present my next job title proposal. The present project, shows the proposal of design of recreational modules for children with cancer “leukemia”, facilitating their permanence in public places. The project arises from the need to have a specialized recreation area for children with cancer “leukemia”, because the province of Azuay does not have a center for children with this disease. Therefore, the entire design proposal is generated from a study of needs and consequences that are obtained in the course of treatments (chemotherapy, radiotherapy and transplants). With which it is intended to create environments that can emotionally and emotionally help to cope with and overcome the disease. Finally, all of the above will be explained in three chapters: the same ones that will be developed using Bruno Munari’s methodology as a reference. Optimización del espacio interior en función de un mobiliario multifuncional aplicado a viviendas de tipo social.
(2019-11-18) Camacho Bermúdez, Gabriela Soledad; León Martínez, Manuel Alfredo
Because of the situation of poverty and extreme poverty that many family groups experience in Ecuador and in other Latin American and worldwide countries, Non-Governmental Organizations such as TECHO arises: this NGO works to combat housing problems with the objective that the less favored individuals of society have the possibility of living under a decent roof. TECHO builds 18m2 emergency homes with particleboard walls and floors, at an approximate cost of $ 500 and with a 5 years useful life. These housing solutions consist of a single space of small dimensions and without divisions, which is usually inhabited by large families. The problem arises when the families, according to their needs, decide to improvise and generate solutions that in their opinion make their homes more “functional” and comfortable. Solutions that are not always the most appropriate from the interior design point of view, given that they do not completely solve the functional and formal problems of the users in relation with the space. These theoretical-practical research project, whose information gathering was carried out in TECHO houses located at Quingeo – Azuay, seeks to improve the quality of life of the beneficiary families using design as a transformation tool by improving the habitability of the interior space in general, thanks to the application of innovative, accessible, low- cost technologies and to the use of simple functional systems and related materials

Every day, the need grows to redesign or create new educational environments that encourage imagination, collaborative work, creativity and motivation for learning. All of these things depend on the influence of interior design, as the adaptation of new learning methodologies of the 21st century requires. In this sense, this project aims to set up new interior design methodologies in learning areas, taking into consideration current educational needs. Therefore, the implementation of a new methodology is suggested. To this end, the research presented in this thesis has a theoretical and practical approach; first, a traditional classroom, along with its characteristics, has been analyzed looking at the main issues of the Open Plan. In the same manner, essential elements in terms of interior design, among others, have been researched. Additionally, a descriptive analysis has been carried out distinguishing fixed constants from selected design typologies implemented in Europe and Latin America that influenced the development of educational spaces. Finally, as a result of the project, a design proposal has been created wherein the classroom grants more versatility in response to the conditions and determinants of the Open Plan principle, thus guaranteeing multi-functionality in the space. This research seeks to establish the need to rethink the classroom space in accordance with the current demands of students and teachers. It also seeks to be a focal point for new research over the influences and changes within educational movements that arise over time.

(2019-06-03) Reinoso Yunga, Edwin Nestorio; León Martínez, Manuel Alfredo
This research aspires to generate a new type of single-family housing by using several elements for its construction; elements totally different from conventional construction materials and finishing touches managed in the Azuay province of Ecuador. To carry out this project, a theoretical-graphic investigation of the different points covered by a dwelling is carried out, the study of the characteristics and specifications of the modules (containers) for their possible application as a new place to live, as well as the construction research with the new type of modules to be applied. This research is presented in the first chapter of this document. Likewise, a study is made of the existing regulations in the city of Cuenca, and the analysis of the place to intervene with the new building to be proposed, based on the study of three references that help identify possible solutions and generate new ideas, both in the volumetric spatial distribution of the house, as well as each of its interior spaces, and above all the needs of the future inhabitants that will define the type and form of integral design of the house. An optimal housing design proposal is generated by developing a project that provides solutions for each of the housing spaces distributed for a family with their needs and problems. The project will have each of the necessary specifications for easy project understanding (2D and 3D), as well as the final cost of the work in our environment.
