The most common level of adherence according Bonilla was the lead for adhesion with 79,3%, followed by the risk to not develop adherence with 18,0% and finally the category can not respond with adherence behavior 2,7%. The type of pathology was associated with adherence, where hypertensive patients had higher adherence (56,3%) than diabetics (30,0%) or with both disorders patients (35,3%). Conclusions: The adherence was similar to that reported by other studies, so it is suggested to increase efforts in patient education with respect to factors related to therapy to increase the frequency of adherence in patients, and planning prospective studies evaluating the impact of the lack of adherence on the course and evolution of the disease, and to establish regional and national strategies against the lack of adherence to treatment
