    Conocimientos y aplicación de primeros auxilios psicológicos por parte de los docentes en los colegios urbanos de Cuenca

    Crisis can be present at any time of our lives and it should not always be considered as something negative; because although it constitutes a danger, it can also turn into an opportunity. The first psychological aids constitute an effective method of prevention and immediate help towards the person who is involved in a crisis, with the purpose of helping him or her to recover the balance. The present research pretends to study the knowledge that teachers about first psychological aids; identifying and describing their knowledge and application. The fieldwork was done with teachers of the urban colleges of Cuenca, through a survey applied to a sample of 358 teachers from a universe of 1746 teachers in 29 public and fiscomisional school with by presencialmodality ; finding as findings that:: 81 % of teacher have, at some point, faced a crisis situation with their students, nevertheless, only 2 % of them know what the FPA and, less than 50 % teachers answered in correctlyto basic concepts about the application of the FPA; concluding that teachers apply FPA based on their experiences and not in proper theoretical base.
