(2018) Jenny Alexandra, Andrade Padilla; Jaime Israel, Vintimilla Galarza; Pacheco Salazar, María de Lourdes
Parental filial violence is what children inflict on their parents (or father figure), which can be manifested by beatings, shouting, theft, etc., giving different physical, verbal and economic forms; It is a phenomenon of little public knowledge and little study in our environment, however, it is very important because the factors that can cause it are self-esteem, the history of violence and the consequences it brings. The purpose is to determine the incidence of filio-parental violence in parents of pre-university adolescents in an institution of the City of Cañar, it is a non-experimental quantitative study with a descriptive scope. The study population was 177 students in the third year of high school. The information was obtained with a sociodemographic sheet and the scale using the validated instrument Conflict tactics scales - parent children version. The ethical aspects were respected using informed consent and consent. Data analysis was performed in the statistical programs SPSS 20 and Microsoft Excel 2010, percentage, means and chi square (P value). The results indicate that the average age of the students is 16.81 years, the factors that predispose are the family relationship, the antecedent of violence, the consumption of alcohol and drugs and the protectors. It is concluded that there is parental verbal violence in 74.29%, economic 49.51% and physical 5.08%; 49.15% of adolescents lived in extended homes, 28.81% in forests and 22.03% in single-parent households; women were the ones who favored violence but did not look for statistical significance (p> 0.05).
