The tactical urban design of the school aims to improve the mobility, safety and accessibility of the school environment for students, parents and resi- dents of the area. The school is currently located in a residential area, specifi cally on a busy street with high vehicular traffi c. In addition to traffi c congestion, students face a number of hazardous situations such as lack of adequate pedes- trian spaces, potentially dangerous corners, illegally parked vehicles on sidewalks, and disruptions to school routes. All of this creates an unsafe and ineffi cient school environment. To solve all of the above mentioned problems, we propose to carry out a tactical urban planning project and a subsequent preliminary analysis to understand the situation of the site. To carry out these interventions, the collaboration of parents, teachers and residents of the area is required. Therefore, working groups will be held with parents and residents of the area. In these working groups, the preli- minary design of tactical urbanism in the school will be presented to them, so that they are aware of the proposals and so that they can be enriched with their ideas and suggestions. Finally, it is necessary to analyze and collect data to demonstrate the eff ec- tiveness of the intervention, to verify that the diff erent social groups have been involved in the project, and to verify that they have been able to par- ticipate in the project.
