    Aplicación de la Estrategia Score Mamá en el Centro de Salud Carlos Elizalde. Cuenca, 2018

    Introduction: Ecuador, in the pursuit for decreasing maternal mortality, recently established the use of a new strategy called Score Mamá, that allows an estimate for morbimortality in a pregnant woman. Objective: To determine the application of the Score Mama Strategy by health personnel who works at the Carlos Elizalde Health Center. Cuenca, 2018. Materials and methods: is a descriptive cross-sectional study, quantitative, was done with a finite universe of 70 professionals from emergency areas, external consultation and hospitalization in Centro de Salud Carlos Elizalde. An author-validated form was used. The data were processed in SPSS version 21, and were shown through tables with their respective descriptive analysis. Results: 75,7% of respondents were women, 58,6% were older than 30 years old, 55,7% were physicians and 30% were nurses, 52,5% had a 1-to-3-year practice; 100% of respondents were acquainted of Score Mamá and 2,9% didn’t use it, according to knowledge 72,8% were found in the appropriate category, among studied factors, appropriate knowledge prevailed in females, workers older than 30 years old, physicians, followed by nursing personnel and those who had more than 3 years of clinical practice. Conclusions: health personnel at Carlos Elizalde Health Center in its majority has an appropriate knowledge about Score Mamá.
