Objective: Analyze and describe the footprints in athletes of ornamental jumps, artistic gymnastics and rhythmic of the children's category, belonging to the Sports Federation of Azuay, determining the tendency of the type of foot. Methodology: The study is of a descriptive, observational, prospective and transversal cohort type. The method used was developed by Hernández Corvo, the data was obtained by means of the photopodia technique applied to 85 athletes between 4 to 12 years of age, belonging to the disciplines of ornamental jumps (5), artistic gymnastics (54) and rhythmic gymnastics (26). Results: Two takes of footprints were made: static and dynamic. The plantar impressions were analyzed through the Kinovea software, using the method of Hernández Corvo. The data was processed using SPSS and Excel software. In relation to the type of foot and sex statically, we found that the male sex shows a greater tendency to flat foot representing 15.3% in the right and left feet, likewise, the female sex shows a tendency to the foot flat representing 30.6% in the right foot and 32.9% in the left, there are slight variations in the dynamic shots. In the correlation of sport and type of standing (static) there is evidence of an Egyptian foot predominance in all disciplines, there being slight variations in dynamic shots. Conclusion: There is evidence of flat foot tendency at early ages, but as their age and training time increases, this trend decreases. The type of forefoot (Egyptian) predominates in athletes.
