    Valoración Podológica Integral de Enfermería en los adultos mayores del Centro Gerontológico Cristo Rey, Cuenca 2015

    BACKGROUND: Nowadays according to studies in Spain and Chile report that there is an increase of podiatric problems in older adults is of great importance identification and pretreatment. METHODOLOGY: This is a quantitative, observational, descriptive study, the research techniques used were: direct observation and the application of a Scale Test in Geriatric Medicine and Podiatric modified Test Tinetti. RESULTS: 40.5% of older adults are men and 59.5% women, age is the most frequently exceeding 76 years of age with 56.0%, 60.3% remains in the institution around 1-5 years, while 12.9% exceeds 6 years of stay in geriatric foot care 69.8% have never received specialized care, and 21.5% sometimes received. The podiatric disorders most often are: Hallux valgus 22.4%, 13.8% claw toe and 12.9% standing valgus, interdigital skin disorders such as fistulas 24.1%, 21.6% hyperkeratosis, and infection nail mycosis 39.6%, 35.4% thickened nails. CONCLUSIONS: Integral Nursing Podiatric valoration in Gerontology Center Cristo Rey is very small, the podiatric disorders most often are: Hallux valgus followed by claw toe and valgus foot addition skin disorders such as mycosis and hyperkeratosis
