This research evaluated the effect of three biostimulants as a prevention method for Plasmodiophora brassicae on Brassica oleracea var. capitata (cabbage). During the last few years, cabbage yields have been affected by a fungus called Plasmodiophora brassicae (cabbage hernia), present and proliferated in the horticultural soils of the San Joaquín Azuay parish. For this reason, farmers have felt the need to use methods, which in many cases are inadequate for the crops and in the end represent a higher production cost. This research proposed a randomized block design in divided plots, where the main plots are the types of fertilizer (no fertilizer, pollinaza, pollinaza + urea, bocashi) and the subplots are the doses of biostimulants: Dose 1 (0 cm3 ), dose 2 (LisToo 0.25 cm3 ), dose 3 (LisToo 0.50 cm3 ), dose 4 (LisToo 1 cm3 ), dose 5 (Cytokin 250 cm3 /ha) and dose 6 (Biozyme 0.5 l/ha). Twenty-four treatments were established with five replications. It showed that the T14 treatment: pollinaza + urea + dose 2 (LisToo 0.25 cm3 ) presented better results for the variables: cover, height, number of leaves, diameter, weight and cabbage yield in relation to the rest of the treatments with commercial biostimulants and the control. However, for the variables of incidence and severity of Plasmodiophora brassicae, significance was recorded only at 30 d.d.t., in comparison with all the other treatments.
