Based on field experience and the diagnostic assessment conducted for the Urban Planning Scheme of the Nazón parish seat, the need to provide the settlement with recreational facilities intended for sports, cultural, and occasional commercial activities was identified. This degree project proposes an architectural preliminary design for a multipurpose space that addresses the community's needs. The objectives include analyzing case studies of multifunctional community spaces, conducting a site diagnosis through analysis of the land previously determined in the Nazón Urban Planning Scheme, and developing the preliminary design based on an architectural program designed with active participation from local residents through a participatory design workshop. The methodology integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches to capture community needs, combining data collection with expert opinions in the urban-architectural and structural fields. The expected outcome is an architectural preliminary design that includes floor plans for a flexible multipurpose space dapted to the local environment. The project seeks to satisfy the recreational demands of the inhabitants while also promoting social cohesion and the comprehensive development of Nazón parish.
