The present study focused on the concentration of serum Interleukin-6 (IL-6), C- Reactive Protein (CRP) and Rheumatoid Factor (RF) in patients diagnosed with autoimmune diseases treated in the hospital Jose Carrasco Arteaga during the months of June and July 2013. 50 samples were analyzed, as a negative control group 5 specimens were collected from persons corresponding to 10% of the studied healthy population. For the determination of IL-6 the method of ELISA will be used, and to determine CRP and RF turbidimetry was employed. The data was analyzed in the SPSS V 15.0 program in a variable type function. Charts and graphs were utilized for data interpretation. Study of 15 patients (30%) showed elevated IL-6, 20 patients (40%) showed CRP elevation and 13 patients (26%) presented elevation of RF which may be due to treatment. However, there are patients with very high values of these three factors in comparison to its maximum reference value, which can cause harmful effects, worsening the health condition and quality of life of the patient. It found statistically significant correlation between the values of IL- 6,CRP,and RF (p < 0.05). It also shows no statistically significant correlation (p > 0.05) IL-6, CRP, and RF with gender, age or instruction of patients diagnosed with autoimmune diseases.
