    The present degree project aims to implement a BIM methodology through the development of a manual to address an academic architectural project for the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Cuenca. BIM methodology has become a fundamental tool in the construction and architecture world, as it allows for the creation of precise and detailed 3D models that contain information about materials, geometry, measurements, execution times, costs, and other important aspects of the project. This provides an advantage for architecture and construction students and professionals, enabling the control and management of interdisciplinary information through the use of software that generates centralized models, thus reducing the loss of information and making it more coherent and accurate. Through the gathering of information at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Cuenca, gaps and deficiencies in learning regarding the implementation of a BIM methodology were identified. In conclusion, parameters are established for the application of the manual, with the aim of enhancing, optimizing, and managing the projects proposed by the students
