Análisis relacional de la autoestima y violencia intrafamiliar en la niñez intermedia
(2017) Herrera Quinde, Alcides Marcelo; Zhuno Zhunio, Paola Cristina; Morales Quizhpi, Juana Agustina
The present research proposes the relational analysis of the levels of self-esteem and intrafamily violence in the boys and girls of the two Educational Units of the city of Cuenca. The approach used in this research was quantitative with descriptive scope; the study population consisted of 270 boys and girls whose representatives gave their assent, who were used as the first instrument; the Inventory of Child Abuse and Abuse Phrases of Beigbeder Agosta, C., Barilari, Z., Colombo, R (2001) which showed a total sample of 35 (13%) boys and girls who reported confirmed maltreatment and met the inclusion criteria. The Piers-Harris (1969) self-concept scale showed that 74% of the boys and girls participating in the study had low self-esteem, of this percentage 46% were women and 28% men, which linked to age are children 7 and 8 years. At the same time, the results obtained indicate that the correlation between self-esteem and intrafamily violence in the global analysis does not have correlational significance; the correlational coefficient gives us 3.6%. However, in the specific analysis of variables when measuring self-esteem was found significance between this one and age negatively correlated with 44%. In addition, a significant correlation of 21% was found between the variables family violence and age.
