    Conocimientos actitudes y prácticas sobre el virus del papiloma humano en las/os adolescentes de bachillerato del Colegio Javeriano de la parroquia Sayausi. Cuenca, 2015

    Antecedents: Is very important to value that student's knowledge about human papillomavirus because the sexually active adolescents will be with the highest probability to acquire an infection by the human papillomavirus. Objective: Determine knowledge, attitudes and practices about human papilloma virus in the high school students of Javeriano School, of parish Sayausí. Cuenca, 2015 Methodology: The research was quantitative descriptive, which allowed us to determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices about HPV on teenagers. We work with a finite universe of 160 students, which correspond to the entire population of high school. We applied a survey and validated by the authors as it has not found a validated test for the human papillomavirus for teens. The obtained data were processed and analyzed in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SPS version 21 statistical tables and analyzed. Results: Of the 160 students surveyed, 56% were male and 44% female, 61% has knowledge about HPV and 52% of teens said they had initiated sexual activity, taking into account that 53% always use a condom, usually 21%, 14% never, finally a 12% of the teenagers use condoms frequently. Conclusions: The young people of the Javeriano School, has an average knowledge about human papillomavirus, symptoms, ways of transmission, potential victims, cancers that can cause and the methods to prevent it
