Item El sistema constructivo como intensificador de la forma: El Edificio de Posgrados de Ciencias Humanas de Rogelio Salmona(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-01-31) Guerrero Moscoso, Claudia Carolina; Samaniego Alvarado, Pedro JoséThe inquiries about the architecture of Rogelio Salmona have been widely commented from different interpretive spheres by many authors and researchers; however, little has been said about the spatial quality that the refinement of detail has brought to his work and the fundamentals behind the creation of complex patterns or special elements. Thus, Salmona's theoretical reflections confront the pragmatism of the task through the use of a multitude of project materials, tangible and intangible, that interact with each other in a symbiotic relation. Consequently, the dominance of the constructive system is the expression of the convictions that he preached throughout his lifetime about the know how to do architecture. The study of this particular case, the Human Sciences Postgraduate building of the National University of Colombia, designed between 1995 - 2000, gathers their past experiences. It is a synthesis of the explorations with brick that the architect has carried out since the early seventies, combining it with other formal-poetic resources. Space and form are two objects that Salmona create through brick as a starting element, because as if it were a cell of the human body, it multiplies and gives the characteristic and unique measures of the subject in question. Which determinates that every building, as every human being, is particularly different and unrepeatable
