Traditional mathematics teaching focuses on the transmission of content and procedures, neglecting the promotion of critical thinking and understanding of concepts, which has an impact on low performance in mathematics. This situation is attributed to the implementation of behaviorist teaching, which is characterized by being static and not very participatory, generating disinterest in students and relegating them to a passive role in the acquisition of knowledge. Faced with this problem, the present research aims to evaluate the impact of the implementation of Gowin's Uve methodological strategy in the learning of real numbers among tenth grade students of General Basic Education of the Benjamín Ramírez Arteaga Educational Unit, during the 2023-2024 academic period. For this purpose, a quasi experimental methodology is used, with a quantitative approach and a correlational scope. The results reveal that most of the students experience an improvement in their grades after the implementation of Gowin's Uve strategy, reflecting an advance in the development of skills and in the understanding of the contents of the subject. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of Gowin's Uve tool has contributed to improve academic performance in this experimental group and, consequently, the quality of students' learning in relation to real numbers.
