    Relación entre los estilos de crianza y tipos de apego en adolescentes de la Unidad Educativa Herlinda Toral en Cuenca, en el período 2022-2023

    Parenting styles encompass the array of behaviors employed in caring for children during the stages of childhood and adolescence, while attachment types signify the quality of the bond that forms between a child or adolescent and their primary caregiver. Both variables constitute fundamental aspects of parenting that can profoundly influence later interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, and adaptive capacity in adult life. Although numerous research studies have been conducted on the child population, few have assessed both aspects in adolescents, a highly relevant stage in their development. Therefore, the objective of this study is to establish a connection between parenting styles and attachment types in adolescents at Unidad Educativa Herlinda Toral during the period 2022 - 2023. The study adopted a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational in scope. A sample of 60 high school students spanning three years participated in the study. The utilized instruments were the Steinberg Parenting Style Scale and the CaMir-R Attachment Questionnaire. The results concerning parenting styles revealed that commitment was the predominant factor, followed by psychological autonomy and behavioral control, with a majority perceiving a neglectful parenting style (26.7%). Regarding attachment types, the prevalent dimensions were infant trauma followed by parental interference, resulting in a majority displaying an insecure attachment type (71.7%). Concerning the relationship between these variables, no significant correlation was found (p=.552).
