Item Depresión y violencia domestica en mujeres adultas y adolescentes: una revisión sistemática(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-01-15) Tenempaguay Guamán, Alexandra Verónica; Guaraca Maldonado, Gissely PatriciaBackground: women who are victims of violence and remain in the cycle of forgiveness and abuse and even those with a single act of violence could develop mental disorders such as depression. Objectives: to determine the prevalence of depression in adolescent and adult women with domestic violence: A systematic review. Methods: systematic review, using the following search engines: Scopus, Elsevier, Latindex, Redalyc, Scielo, Hindawi, Pubmed and The Lancet, free text was used as a search method with the following words: "Depression", " family violence "," domestic violence "," violence against women "," sexual violence "" psychological violence ", for their connections the following" AND "or" OR "were used. Results: a total of 23 articles were included, finding a frequency of depression in women who had suffered domestic violence that ranged between 7.2 and 83.3%, in the same way it was observed that the most frequent of the subtypes of violence was psychological study with a study that registered 96.15%, additionally it was found in 9 of the 23 studies that there was a statistically significant relationship between depression and domestic violence. Conclusion and implication: there is a relationship between family violence suffered by women and the development of depression, which is why these should be evaluated in a global way when they consult both for emergencies and in primary care, in order to identify cases of risk and be able to address them appropriately, thus avoiding adverse outcomes due to both violence and depression.Item Relación de la familia con el estado nutricional y el desarrollo psicomotor de los preescolares institucionalizados de la parroquia de San Joaquín en el 2015(Universidad de Cuenca, 2017-11-11) Guaraca Maldonado, Gissely Patricia; Palacios Espinoza, Elvira del CarmenObjective: To determine the relationship of the family function with the nutritional status and psychomotor development of the institutionalized preschoolers of the parish of San Joaquín Cuenca 2015. Material and methods: A cross-sectional, randomized study was performed in 121 preschoolers. It was collected with a structured questionnaire and forms, tabulated and analyzed in SPSS version 20. The variables were presented as frequencies and percentages; Statistical association: prevalence ratio, confidence interval and p value less than 0.05. In addition, a qualitative study was carried out with a focus group of six people to evaluate perceptions about nutritional status and psychomotor development. Results: Family dysfunction represented 48.4%; Malnutrition 13.8%; Alteration in the personal social area 20.3%; Adaptive fine motor 16.3%; Language 28.5% and gross motor 5.7%. Family biological risks 39.8%; Sanitary 61.8% and socioeconomic 54.5%. A positive association was found between family dysfunction and socioeconomic risk (RR = 1.552, 95% CI: 1.406-2.303, p= 0.023), and association with altered adaptive fine motor area (RR = 1.567, 95% CI 1.095- 2.243, p= 0.044). Conclusions: A positive association between the fine motor area and family dysfunction was observed and it was confirmed that perceptions are an innate part of a community and will inevitably intervene in the health practices of its inhabitants
