Item El docente como mediador del aprendizaje en las escuelas multigrado(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-01-02) Heras Siguenza, Gloria Estefania; Guaillas Inga, Jessica Fernanda; Verdugo Guamán, María EugeniaMultigrade schools are a particular educational reality because children of different ages are found in the same grade. Such schools exist mostly in rural areas. In this scenario, the teacher has a fundamental role in mediating the learnings of different groups in the same classroom, generating an educational experience of unique characteristics. However, in the academic sphere, there is little research on multigrade schools and especially the teacher's role in these schools. Thus, this research aim to determine the role of the teacher as a mediator of learning in multigrade schools. To achieve the aim, a review and bibliographic analysis of the main academic sources related to the subject has been developed. This review led to the structuring of three chapters: First chapter refers to Pedagogical Theories, the second Teaching Being and finally the third to multigrade Schools. It is concluded that, the teacher must develop skills, abilities and know the different methodologies that allow him to mediate the learning of his students, not forgetting that they will change according to the circumstances and the diversity existing in the classroom, in addition to recognizing the benefits that They can be obtained by working in a multigrade school if you have the necessary knowledge and vocation.
