(2018-07-05) Hidalgo Villacís, Cesar Ernesto; Godoy Chacha, Juan Diego; Collado Ruano, Javier
The thermal behavior and the energy consumption of the housing envelope of the MIDUVI type house are analyzed, implanted in Ecuador, near of the cantonal head of Pucará, Province of Azuay. Where the use of an envelope that does not respond adequately to the climatic conditions of the site is presented, which gives rise to the lack of thermal comfort inside the dwelling, that can lead to health problems. The purpose of this study is to determine if implementing bioclimatic materials in the architectural envelope it is possible to improve the comfort conditions in social housing, for andean páramo climate. To achieve this objective, a research is proposed with an experimental-quantitative approach, in order to evaluate the architectural envelope (independent variable) and its influence on the thermal quality of the indoor environment (dependent variable) in the dwelling type, the following steps were followed: a) collection of climatic data, b) verification of the current status of MIDUVI housing and its relationship with users, c) determination of local materials and their thermal characteristics, through laboratory tests, d) simulations of the thermal and energetic behavior of the current and proposed envelope; and e) comparative analysis between envelopes. Data from meteorological stations were taken to obtain real climate data. The data collected was used to create and develop the simulations in Energy Plus v8.7. and verify the thermal performance of the envelope. It was concluded by means of the thermal-energetic simulation that by means of the implementation of bioclimatic materials in the enclosure, the interior temperature increases up to 5 ° C, reaching 15 to 18 ° C, very close to the comfort range; besides an increase of 51% in the relation with the exterior temperature. On the other hand, if artificial air conditioning is used, the proposed envelope presents a better energy performance than the current one and can save up to 74% of the monthly energy consumption in heating.

The problem of this work makes reference to that in the construction of the houses of social interest by MIDUVI when analyzing the site, this could be executed with a suitable constructive system with materials that work according to their location and mainly that their inner comfort and that is commensurate with the altitude and climate. The methodology applied was descriptive and referential, using the De Garrido method for the sustainability of the materials used to produce the covers and analyzing a case study through the Ecotect software. The conclusions were a level of sustainability for the three roofs studied fiber cement, tiles and polycarbonate with medium and high levels of sustainability. Accepting that the MIDUVI for the construction of housing roofs in high mountains, if they possess adequate materials that guarantee thermal comfort to its inhabitants and designing through Ecotect a suitable general comfort, if MIDUVI designed homes according to the real needs existing in the high mountains.

(2023) Godoy Chacha, Juan Diego; Carrion Ordoñez, Augusto Alonso
The present article exposes the research findings oriented to the design and planning of state-subsidized dwelling, embedded in low-income communities. The problems reside in designing habitational models, from appraising the level of thermic comfort in homes. The scientific question is centered on the feasibility of laying plans and planning, assuming the habitational reality, houses fulfilling social requirements, embedded requirements in low-income communities. About the resolution method in this 2work, based on investigations such as the exploratory and qualitative, in addition to the case study. Scientific methods are adopted like analysis and bibliographic synthesis, method of experts, empiric methods, method of the dialectic contradictions. The field work demonstrated that the present-day design passes beyond the limits of thermic comfort; The standard building material of the houses of social interest, show high thermal transfer, the perception of the people of the locality they denote a comfort when houses are wooden constructed. Furthermore, it is managed to establish a new concept for the creation of architectonic spaces of adequate levels of comfort. The bio-climatic significance resides in the criteria embraced for the elaboration of the new prototype of state-subsidized dwelling, the analyzed variables, concepts on architecture, and designing strategies, achieving solving as much in what's functional, reliable and constructively.

In chapter two we proceed to analyze the current state of the educational center, paying attention to lighting, thermal, acoustic, chromatic, horizontal, and vertical circulations and; to discover the problems and needs based on local and international regulations. In this section, the functional and aesthetic counterparts are analyzed to obtain more information on educational centers. Finally, in chapter three the design proposal is made that contemplates a solution to the problems and needs based on all the information collected in the previous chapters. The design proposal encompasses the interior and exterior of the educational establishment focused on creating a sensory space to stimulate the senses. The concept is based on the bamboo plant because of the contribution to the environment that this plant offers due to its characteristics, the formal aspect of the concept is based on the molecular structure of bamboo.

Propuesta de línea de diseño interior para el Grupo Ferretero del Austro aplicado en la ferretería: Comercial Banegas Padilla en la ciudad de Cuenca
(2022-07-05) Banegas Padilla, Lisseth Ximena; Godoy Chacha, Juan Diego
This degree project responds to the necessities of the Grupo Fe- rretero del Austro, which are to represent its corporate image in its sto- res and the lack of organization and good distribution in its commercial areas and warehouses. The group is conformed by 8 specialized mem- bers in hardware and building materials, each one has different size and sales volume, but all members share the same customer service system. Another clear need in this field is the low level of intervention by a de- signer in a specialized hardware store with medium-small infrastructure. There are self-service hardware centers with a large volume of sale that have been intervened in interior design due to the customer service sys- tem and the size of its infrastructure. The objective is to present a pro- posal for an Interior Design Line for Grupo Ferretero’s premises applied to Comercial Banegas Padilla, so that it can serve as a model for the group’s premises, using the existing corporate image. This project was prepared with the Design Thinking methodology because the process begins with a knowledge of the client, followed by the search for concepts that integrate the client’s needs. Ideation is the creative phase that, upon completion, begins the prototype or design proposal. The final results present a solution to the problems of the model premises to be intervened. Therefore, a reorganization of the distribution of the spaces was carried out, a hybrid model was established as a sys- tem of attention to the public extending the front space destined to the commercial area which allows having an adequate space for attention behind the counter and a greater percentage of self-service space.

Valoración del paisaje urbano circundante al tranvía Cuatro Ríos, dentro de la zona del centro histórico de Cuenca(Ecuador)
(2022) Carrion Ordoñez, Augusto Alonso; Godoy Chacha, Juan Diego
Relevant aspects of the ecological and aesthetic dimensions that define the attributes of the urban landscape are going to be evaluated. As a starting point this work proposes to obtain all the graphical information of the historical center because city has its characteristics, elements, qualities and relationships as product and creation which can be perceived and interpreted.Urban image, characterization and components of the landscape will be analyzed under criteria determined by author Kevin Lynch based on the study of paths, nodes, landmarks and neighborhoods.Urban mobility of the city will be studied to generate information that clarifies the road of the study area. Next step will be to evaluate the mixed assessment of the landscape through proposing several surveys to facilitate theobtaining of results of environmental physical, socio-economic valuation and analysis of visual perception. Theresulting information from processing that survey will be used to create a graphic which clearly identifies the most vulnerable points into the study area, and will facilitate the obtaining of a SWOT table which will be the start point to plan the intervention proposals to be made in the study area. This thesis document proposes to evaluate Cuatro Ríosde Cuencatram way landscapes in the downtown’s historic area known as Centro Histórico. A mixed methodology will be used to perform this evaluation, to contribute with sustainable criteria which will determine how to improve green areas inside evaluation region.KEYWORDS: landscape design, landscape assessment, mobility
